Desert Air by Jamie Shea (2005)
Driving at dusk near Patagonia, Arizona, we went back into some hills to check out a bed and breakfast. The landscape in the nearby area was surreal and even though we didn't stay, the image of the place and the feeling I had there was burned into my memory. I see it everytime I sing this song. — Jamie
LYRICS
Out on the road with you
We missed our turn and almost sailed on through
But you got a feeling that some kind of magic
Might be waiting for us
I'm touched by deja vu
The hills roll up smooth and tan
Like some ancient ocean turned into land
We wind to the top and pull in the drive
And the breeze wraps our hearts and
The stillness holds our hands
The desert air is in my hair
It blows my thoughts away
Sun-streaked skies fill my eyes
Tell me we should stay
Far as my eye can see
Nothing but sky and the golden rolling sea
We look at each other, the moment is right
Will the stars light our future
If we stay the night
The desert air is in my hair
It blows my thoughts away
Sun-streaked skies fill my eyes
Tell me we should stay
